Rake out and Repoint to a Victorian Tight-Jointed brick gable-end. We provide a specialist service in this area; using kiln-dried sand with double the binder ratio to compensate for the low clay content - produces a beautiful finish and high contrast pointed joints that makes a bold statement in its appearance.
Preparation
Brickwork raked using 0.4mm diamond cutting-discs. Taking care not to cut the brick whilst tidying up joints where bricks are abutted direct against each other, producing a more uniform appearance whilst taking extreme caution and a conservative mindset with forsight to the invasive nature of the works.
Repointing & Aftercare
Repointed using a specialist inhouse - high contrast - lime pointing mortar.
Finished with a contractor grade breathable silicone brick sealant. This particular aftercare option comes highly recommended. It's performance benfits helps keep the masonry dry - deflecting 80% of rain through the addition of a 'wicking' property that dispells moisture whilst also allowing the natural breathing cycle of the building to take place.
